It's about time...........
I haven't written since August 2006, mainly because I had forgotten how to get into my blog - I'm getting old!
A lot has happened since then. Jennifer has finally finished school in December after about 20 years! She has her Bachelor of Music Education degree and is working full time for The Salvation Army in Charlotte, NC. She also has a job with a Baptist church taching a children's choir. In time she will get a 'green card' nd then she can get a job with the school system there. We went down for her graduation and stayed for Christmas - it seems like it was a long time ago. It was different but we enjoyed it.
On March 10th we had my Dad's 80th birthday celebration which turned into a tragedy. My oldest sister, Jean (57) had a massive heart attack and went home to be with the Lord. It is still very difficult and so hard to believe. There is a big piece of the puzzle missing now and it will never be the same.
Michelle just finished her schooling as well......she will convoate on May 23. She has her Bachelor of Nursing degree and has accepted a permanent full-time position with the surgery department St. Clare's Mercy Hospital. We are so very proud of both our girls!
When I learn how to post a picture - then you can see their graduation picture.
I have two years and two months to retirement - I shouldn't be counting down the time because it flies fast enough as it is and I don't know what awaits me in the future whither near or far. But I know Who holds the Future and that's all that matters.
I'll try to write again real soon...........

Summer is disappearing fast...............
I can't believe that we are into the last part of August! Seems like it just started. I went for a nap and woke up to find it almost over! Where did it go?

I miss my daughter, Jennifer, who went back to the US last week - I wish we lived a bit closer. It is time to shop for 'back to school', but wait - my kids are all grown up and don't want their momma to shop for them anymore (although, they would NOT refuse the money) they like to shop for themselves.

I am looking forward to visiting North Carolina in December and even more important Jennifer and Charlie are graduating!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank God.

Bye for now........................

This is something new for me. My daughter has one of these blogs and I find it very interesting and enjoying to read. I hope mine is the same!
My daughter, Jennifer who lives in North Carolina, along with her boyfriend, Charlie spent some time with us this summer. They were both 'guests' at our annual music camp. They were awesome! The kids are still talking about it.... I hope their influence stays with them forever. They will both graduate in December with a bachelor of music education - and hopefully get a job!!!!

Michelle is about to begin her 'final' year at MUN and hopefully in May 2007 she will graduate with a bachelor of nursing - then the money will atart to roll in.....

Darrell is busy with his career as an RCMP officer in Oliver, BC. He and his wife just moved into a new home and now we are hoping for another grandchild within the next year......

Sonya is busy working with Teletec and raising my favorite grandkids - Emily(12) & Kenny (5).

The hndsome man I married over 25 years ago is keeping himself busy with his contracting buisness.

I have 2 years, 11 months to retirement! I am beginning to see a light (however dim) at the end of the tunnel.

I have to go and clean up from supper, my husband cooked!

More later...................
